We live together experiencing many of the same things, in the same places, but we all see our realities a little differently. I believe that the real world is made up of a composite of our own distinct subjective views. I see art as a window into the mystery of that world, like one facet of a prism with an infinite number of surfaces. That facet is just one glimpse into an eternal objective world that we cannot fully grasp by ourselves through reason or sight.
I believe that there is an objective reality that always exists and a subjective filter that we all view reality through. In my art I strive to give a glimpse of reality in an interesting way so that it strikes a chord of truth with the viewer. My art portrays my world, my past, and the realms of my imagination in a way that prompts the viewer to either see their own reality in a new way or glimpse the real beauty of the objective truth that surrounds them.
