Painting and Drawing

I use painting to explore ideas about place, landscape, travel, and memory. I start with my own collection of photographs and experiences, often going through an archive of inconsequential moments to find “something” that connects to a current focus or point of view. This has included everything from voyeuristic views of illuminated windows, romanticized Italian getaways, gardens of both fame and modesty, rocky wild landscapes like those of my first memories, and locations yet be known.
